The Birth of the First Home of Wisdom

Somkidvittaya School officially recorded the first page of its history on May 17. With Mr. Thongyoo Suksiri as the Founder and Manager, Mrs. Somkid Supap as the Licensee, and Mr. Pan Insee serving as the first Principal. It began by nurturing seeds at the early childhood level within a half-concrete, half-wooden structure, the "Thongyoo Suksiri Memorial Building (503)," which stands as a monument of dedication, weaving love and hope into every atom.

Growth from a Resilient Root

Stemming from unwavering resolve, which garnered the profound trust and faith of the Rayong community, Mr. Sommai Suksiri took the baton to carry the vision forward (as Manager and Licensee Representative), alongside Mr. Uthai Phumarin (Principal). Together, they made a monumental leap by expanding the educational scope to encompass Primary and Lower Secondary levels, accommodating the growth of local youth and ensuring they received continuous, top-tier education under the canopy of Somkidvittaya.

The Path of Stability

From the very first ring of the school bell, Somkidvittaya has served as a “compass” guiding the youth. The pioneering management established discipline and moral integrity as pillars as steadfast as mountains, passing down the ethos from generation to generation that this is not merely a place to impart knowledge, but an institution that “builds people” of true value and dignity.

The administration made the strategic decision to scale back to exclusively offer early childhood education, addressing spatial constraints and prioritizing the highest quality of close, personalized care.

Under the leadership of Mrs. Sasithorn Suksiri (Principal), the school embarked on a major infrastructure development master plan.

Responding to the resounding voices and the trust of parents who desired a continuous educational journey for their children, the school proudly reinstated its Primary education level.

The Golden Age of "Smart Infrastructure" and Aesthetic Spaces

The construction of Siritham Building 1 (1995) and Siritham Building 2 (1997)—spacious and modern reinforced concrete structures.

1998 - 2000: Comprehensive development of life-skills enhancement areas, including the cafeteria, the developmental training building (Mahasanook Building), the swimming pool, and the administrative building.

The Genesis of an Elegant Identity

The construction of the Thai Classical Dance and Music Activity Building to serve as a center for molding the Thai spirit. Specifically, this marked the initiation and preservation of the high classical performing art of “Khon,” which has become a vital instrument in cultivating refinement, concentration, and graceful discipline in Somkidvittaya students to this day.

The Dawn of Bilingual Education

Recognizing that English is not merely an elective subject but a “second language” that children must be as familiar with as their mother tongue, the school pioneered the Mini English Program (MEP) to create an environment conducive to the natural absorption of language skills.

The Era of Modern Leadership

Mr. Natthawat Songkhrotham assumed the role of School Director, bringing a 21st-century educational vision to propel the school toward modernized administration, embracing innovation, and answering the needs of modern learners.

Corporate Solidification

To support sustainable growth, the school advanced into a corporate structure by transferring its operations to Siritham Co., Ltd. as the licensee. This underscored its professionalism and elevated management standards to an international level.

Bilingual Excellence

The school restructured to become a 100% full-fledged Bilingual Program (MEP), intensifying English and foreign language skills to international standards, enabling students to communicate naturally and seamlessly.

Transitioning pedagogical approaches to a Child-Centric model, integrating Active Learning and Project-Based Learning. This empowers children to engage in hands-on practice, critical thinking, and independent problem-solving, thereby incubating vital 21st-century skills.
